Cooler temperatures, changing leaves and the return of favorite community traditions can only mean one thing: fall is arriving in Bloomfield!
Bloomfield Main Street’s Fall Festival and Car Show will take place Saturday, September 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in downtown Bloomfield. The event will bring together classic cars, local shopping, food, music, family activities and plenty of reasons to spend the day exploring our community.
The festivities begin with the Car Show at 8:00 a.m. Visitors can walk through downtown and admire a wide variety of vehicles, visit with their owners and see which entries take home awards in the show’s different categories.
Beginning at 9:00 a.m., the Bloomfield Farmers Market and Vendor Show will open. Guests can browse locally grown, baked and handmade products while also visiting Bloomfield’s downtown businesses. Whether you are searching for something unique, picking up a favorite treat or getting an early start on seasonal shopping, there will be plenty to discover.
Families will find several activities planned especially for children. Registration for the Kiddie Tractor Pull begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by the pull at 9:30 a.m. Kids’ games will be offered from 10:00 a.m. to noon, creating even more opportunities for families to enjoy the festival together.
Live music from The Boys will fill downtown from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., providing the perfect soundtrack while visitors eat, shop and explore the festival.
One of the things that makes Fall Festival special is its setting. Bloomfield’s historic square is more than an event venue—it is part of the experience.
At the center of the square stands the Davis County Courthouse, a striking Second Empire-style landmark completed in 1877. The courthouse is surrounded by historic commercial buildings dating largely from the second half of the 1800s. Together, they form the Bloomfield Square Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
For generations, this square has served as a place for commerce, civic life, celebrations and community gatherings. Fall Festival continues that tradition by bringing people together in the same place where Bloomfield residents have gathered for more than a century.
Visitors are encouraged to make a day of their trip. Come for the car show, music and children’s activities, but leave time to explore the businesses surrounding the square. Shop locally owned stores, enjoy something to eat and take in the architectural details that give downtown Bloomfield its distinctive character.
