The Main Street way is to inspire and engage the property owners, business owners, leaders, friends, and neighbors to create a shared value in the character of the community. Image having people believe that their place matters. That is true community support. That is what Main Street is all about.

Vision Statement
Bloomfield Main Street envisions and works towards a prosperous Main Street district that reflects our historic character, offers a variety of goods and services in a unique shopping atmosphere, and generates social, arts, and recreational activities. The district will be recognized as the hub of vitality in Davis County, a vibrant place to work, live, and play, and an inviting destination for everyone.

In 1985, the Iowa Legislature adopted Main Street America’s Main Street Approach model and established MSI as a program of the Iowa Economic Development Authority. Today, MSI is recognized as one of the most successful state Main Street programs in the nation.
