Cultural Opportunities in Davis County
The Davis County Fine Arts Council was formed in
1977 to meet the cultural needs of Davis County residents. At that time it
purchased the Iowa Theatre on the Bloomfield Square which has since undergone
extensive renovation to serve the needs of the Davis County Players (a
subsidiary of the Arts Council) and the movie operation sponsored by the Arts
Council. The Arts Council also owns the Kay Burchette Cultural Center, a
building adjacent to the Iowa Theatre which was also renovated by the Arts
Council.
