Farmers’ Market 2010 – It’s Time!

As the weather is warming up, it is time to plant those gardens.  The Davis County Farmers’ Market will start May 15^th and run through October 16^th.  The Market is held on the North side of the Courthouse lawn.

As previously, on Saturdays the Market will be open 8:30 am to 11:30 am and Tuesdays 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  WIC, Senior Citizens checks, and the new food vouchers will be accepted by nine vendors on Saturday and five vendors on Tuesday.  There must be at least three certified vendors at each market to be able to accept these checks.

Anyone interested in participating as a vendor at the Market, you may find registration forms, along with rules and regulations at the Main Street office (101 E. Franklin), or call Patsy Boas at 641-459-3387 for more information.  There are already vendors pre-registered for 2010, but we have room for more!

A grant was received this year from the Davis County Community Foundation.  The funds were used to purchase five banners to be displayed on downtown light poles
